Antonius Bastian Limahekin has been trained in philosophy (BA Ledalero; BPhil, MA, MPhil, PhD from KU Leuven) and theology (MTh from Ledalero), as well as in academic English for postgraduate studies (Diploma from SOAS, University of London). As a PhD scholar at the Institute of Philosophy (HIW) at KU Leuven, he authored a dissertation on the discourse theory of democracy and environmentalism. His research focuses on ethics, and social and political philosophy, with a specialization in environmental political philosophy/theory. His areas of interest include democracy, social justice, climate governance, ecological justice, sustainable development, contemporary political philosophy, Rawls’s political thought, Habermas’s political thought, and methods of political philosophy. His articles have been published in journals such as Melintas, Diskursus, and Environmental Ethics. Antonius Bastian is currently a philosophy lecturer at the Institute of Philosophy and Creative Technology (IFTK) Ledalero and serves as the chairperson of the Journal Bureau of the institute.
